Roslin Glen
Edinburgh & the Lothians

Roslin Glen is a native oakwood in a steep-sided glen that has remained fairly untouched. The mixed deciduous woodland has over 200 species of flowering plants, 60 species of breeding birds and a rich lichen flora. The reserve is part of the Roslin Glen SSSI designated for its broad-leaved woodland.

Take the A701 south out of Edinburgh, past IKEA, through Bilston take the first exit at the roundabout (B7006) for Roslin. Pass through Roslin then take the B7003 on the left down and over the River North Esk. The road is currently closed at the edge of the woodland; there is a small place to park by the "road closed" barriers.
