Keltneyburn

Keltneyburn has a meadow notable for wildflowers, including eight species of orchid. Cattle and sheep graze the meadow in early and late summer, allowingthe grassland, scrub and bracken to be managed. The old curling pond offers a haven for insects such as dragonflies and the steep wooded gorge is covered with broadleaved woodland. The gorge is inaccesable to all but the most experienced rock climbers.

The Keltneyburn reserve lies 5 miles west of Aberfeldy, by a minor road off the B846. Balchroich Meadow can be reached from the public road at Keltneyburn Village up a steep track next to General Stewart's statue. - Restrictions
The gorge is steep and inaccessible. Cars should be left in Keltneyburn at the bottom of the steep access track to the reserve. Both cattle and sheep graze the reserve in early spring and late summer.
