Programme April – July 2010
 
Sunday 25th April
Scone Palace, Perth 2-4pm
Wildlife Detectives: detecting wildlife crime and a who-done it! We welcome along our local Wildlife Police Officer PC Sally Hughes who’ll tell us all about the work she does, and we’ll help her solve some wildlife investigations we’ve put on in the palace gardens!
 
Sunday 23rd May
Scone Palace, Perth 2-4pm
Mini-beasts and wild flowers: find out what lurks in the gardens & flowers with the aid of a magnifying glass, some collecting pots and a big book. We’ll also see who is now living in the bug hotels we put out in November, as we open them up and see!
Sunday 20th June
Scone Palace, Perth 2-4pm
Pond dipping! June is a great month to see what lives in our ponds. We’ll have fun identifying and drawing some of what we find.
 
Sunday 25th July
SWT reserve, Loch of Lowes, nr. Dunkeld 2-4pm
Come and join us on our visit to the Loch of Lowes reserve, where we’ll meet the Osprey ranger. We’ll see video footage from this year, and hear all about and see these great birds!
(Numbers may be limited, so reserve your place early for this special meeting!).
 
Tayside Wildlife Watch & Explorers Groupis a joint   RSPB / SWT children’s group for Ages: 5 to 12 year olds.
 
Important Notes:
* All under 8’s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian
 
* For all meetings bring something warm and outdoor shoes
 
* Unless otherwise stated all meetings are £1 per child
 

Tayside Wildlife Group meet on the third weekend of the month, and are based at Scone Palace.
