Volunteer photography project
Coigach hills © Calum Brown More than 40 volunteer photographers have been taking photographs of Scottish Wildlife Trust (SWT) wildlife reserves as part of a project to produce a new reserves visitor guide and a set of leaflets due to be released in 2006. Amateur and professional photographers have taken on the challenge of photographing our wild places and their associated wildlife during the changing seasons.

Blue damselfly © William Risk The images, both slides and digital, that have been submitted are truly inspiring and range from Ben Mor Coigach in the west Highlands to Woodhall Dean in Midlothian.

Over 2,000 images have been received and the subjects cover more than 30 wildlife reserves. Each photographer was given guidance on the landscape, wildlife and people shots that we were looking for. The photographers have risen to and excelled in the challenge.
