Wildlife Week 2008 - Scotland’s National Week for Wildlife

Scottish Wildlife Week 2008, co-ordinated by the Scottish Wildlife Trust and supported by Galloway® Cheddar, took place this year from 7 – 15 June.

Over 200 events happened across Scotland attended by over 5,000 people making this year's Wildlife Week the best yet!

Wildlife Week provided the ideal opportunity for people to engage with wildlife through events in their local area and further afield. Many interesting species could be seen including pine martens and badgers at the purpose-built Speyside Wildlife hide, and for those with an interest in wildlife-friendly gardens, the "Gardening for Wildlife Weekend" at Dobbies Garden World in Dunfermline gave brilliant hints and tips provided by the RSPB and The Bumblebee Conservation Trust.
