About Us
The Scottish Wildlife Trust is committed to protecting Scotland's wildlife by giving homes, a voice and access to wildlife. Our natural environment is under more pressure than ever. Through the support provided by our members, we offer practical conservation solutions through habitat management and we can challenge others with our independent voice and expertise.
Scotland’s greatest asset is its natural environment. Since 1964, SWT has continuously contributed to the enhancement and preservation of habitats and wildlife throughout the country. We believe that through encouraging access to wildlife, we can involve people in understanding, conserving and shaping our landscape for the better.
Our landscape
Scotland’s landscape is a unique part of our country’s identity. From habitats on land to those at sea, from urban areas to rural retreats, we are committed to preserving and managing the landscape and providing homes for Scotland’s wildlife.
Our richness
Scotland’s natural environment is as diverse as it is beautiful - that’s why we are undertaking initiatives which preserve the popular as well as the relatively unknown. From the basking shark to the narrow-headed ant, we are working to maintain and enhance Scotland’s natural richness.
